Additionally, innovations in technology, advances in research, and the constant increase in knowledge of the Word itself requires that a church improves in its ability to deliver services to its people. Pastors are not permanent, rather, they serve as long as the Lord permits. Practices change from time to time which lead to improvement in the ways the church serve its members. Why a manual? The church is not static but a fluid organization. The manual is a flexible template which may be revised and improved upon as often as needed by church leadership (Pastor and Executive Board) – minimally once per year to make certain that FBCOB is always using the most effective ecclesiastical practices of the Baptist tradition to do God’s will. Additionally, everything we do ought to conducted in a decent and orderly fashion per the Word of God (1 Corinthians 14:40). The Lord requires that we function in a manner that gives him glory (Matthew 5:14-16). Its objective is to ensure that all church functions are carried out in the most spiritual, professional manner.
